My final tip is to find something to laugh about. I was ill for a number of years and found laughter a really helpful way of dealing with the stress, fear and uncertainty. Laughter can also give us a little boost of the happy hormone, endorphin.
There are opportunities to laugh everywhere. YouTube videos, podcasts, comedy films, funny books…you may even have a friend guaranteed to raise a laugh.
